E- Commerce, with its exponential growth, brings profound changes in last mile delivery methods.

Deliveries in 1 hour, 3 hours, Sunday, by drone or robotized delivery ... the race to be always faster and by all means is raging to offer e-merchants management solutions of their logistics of deliveries. But at what cost and in what conditions?

Skynet France in its transformation plan started in May 2017 had the ambition of a thoughtful bet of which I propose you a short retrospective. I present you the first assessment of our ambitious project whose strategy is spread over three years.

The nerve of the war in terms of delivery is not only the deadlines but also the customer satisfaction as well as the economic solutions.

It is with studies based on the real expectations of e-merchants and their customers that we have decided to develop solutions adapted, to flexibility, to freedom, to pricing, to self-service, to real time monitoring and simplified return procedure.

It is on these expectations that we have started the evolution of Skynet France.

In September 2017, our presence at the E-commerce show in Paris (Paris Retail Week) gave us the opportunity to meet customers and partners for our new developments. This show allowed us to present our E-COMMERCE DELIVERY SOLUTIONS program which attracted more than 200 E-merchants. A module adapted for several web portals e.g… Prestashop 1.6 and 1.7, Magento 1.9 and 2.0, Woocommerce and Shopify was developed to allow e-merchants to propose delivery solutions adapted to their visitors and customers.

In February 2018 the redesign of our web site adapted to all screen formats and our communication tools allowed us to respond more effectively to the research and practical questions of our customers For example, an online quotation request service allows for greater responsiveness of response for new visitors, as well as responses regarding the delivery delays and destinations that have been automated. Finally, the technical support documents have been updated and enriched with other practical dockets concerning domestic and international shipments (customs clearance, CMS, dangerous goods ...)

Our expertise in express delivery to the customer’s residential or working address, in a PUDO point and delivery through our smart locker program has completed our 360 ° delivery options.

The implantation of the smart lockers in French territory before the end of 2020 is a response in line with the strong demand of consumer of e-commerce, and in line with the regulation regarding the use and circulation in public spaces and towns. This project concerns more than a thousand electronic lockers.

Our first connected E-locker has been installed in the Rosny 2 mall near Paris at the end of March 2018.

We are currently working on the development of other phases that will complement the quality of our service.
